Auf der Suche nach einem Schlafsystem mit den gleichen Gewichtsvorteilen, wie ein Quilt, aber ohne Zugluft habe ich diesen Prototypen entworfen.
Nach etlichen Nächten des Testens habe ich einige Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten entdeckt und in einer neuen, dickeren Version gleich umgesetzt.
Kurz gesagt, war der Prototyp an den Ellenbögen zu schmal und an den Knien zu weit. Ich habe den Schnitt optimiert und noch ein paar Details an den Nähten verbessert. Einen Differentialschnitt habe ich ebenfalls eingebaut, damit auch bei der wildesten Strampelei die Füllung nicht komprimiert wird.
Der neue Sack ist mit zwei Schichten Apex Climashield in 100g/m² gefüllt. Für die Außenhülle habe ich dieses Mal Pertex Quantum gewählt. Das 10D Ripstopnylon des Prototypen zeigte schon kleine Verschleißerscheinungen und vom Pertex erhoffte ich mir mehr Lebensdauer. Bisher wurde ich nicht enttäuscht.
Auch diesen Sack habe ich schon eine ganze Weile getestet. Ebenso hab ich noch einen identischen Sack mit 2x 133g/m² Climashield für den Winter genäht.
Jetzt finde ich keine Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten mehr und bin rundherum glücklich.

RAY’S SLEEPING BAG
Looking for a sleeping system with the same weight advantages as a quilt, but without drafts, I designed this prototype.
After quite a few nights of testing, I discovered some room for improvement and immediately implemented it in a new, thicker version.
In short, the prototype was too narrow at the elbows and too wide at the knees. I tweaked the cut and improved a few more details on the seams.
I also installed a differential cut so the filling will never be compressed, no matter how much I move around.
The new bag is filled with two layers of Apex Climashield in 100g/m². For the outer shell I chose Pertex Quantum this time. The 10D ripstop nylon of the prototype already showed small signs of wear and from the Pertex I hoped for more durability. So far I have not been disappointed.
I have also tested this bag for quite a while. Likewise, I have sewn another identical bag with 2x 133g / m² Climashield for the winter.
Now I find no more room for improvement and am happy all around.
